Puddlejumpers

We finally have windows! We chose the All-Ultrex Fiberglass windows by Marvin Integrity. We designed our own grille pattern. We wanted plain, but not too plain. We love this picture--check out that reflection! This is the last time you'll see them this clean.

Another window photo from the back side of the house. You can see the roofing progress here, too.

Our exterior doors also arrived this week. The brick guys are doing a nice job with all the details.

We had a huge thunderstorm this evening and the boys got into a bit of trouble while we were visiting with friends. They had so much fun!

I think we worked harder to get them into the car and bathed once home than we worked all day long!

Rough-ins and Brick

The brick is coming along.

This is the HVAC ductwork. We finally decided how to spend our HVAC budget. We will have a Trane Heatpump with CleanEffects filtration and a ventilator to introduce some fresh air.

Plumbing rough-ins are coming along.

Front exterior; windows come Friday. I'll believe it when I see it.

Tubs are in place. This is the master bathroom. I have a feeling it will be a popular spot!

They're making a lot of progress on the roof. This is actually outdated already. I'll try to have more pics tomorrow. The windows are supposed to arrive the 21st. The plumbers started today.

Ryan is spraying foam crack filler in the wall behind where the bathtubs will be installed. The insulation guys will try to get more in there, but we wanted to make sure it was sealed in the bottom. The boys got into the foam as we were leaving and it won't come off their hands.

Ashton couldn't believe us when we gave him permission to write on the wall!

We have always loved fires in the evenings. We have a lot of scrap lumber that should provide fun for many nights! Here the boys are eating their sandwiches for dinner. We hope to make 2 permanent fire spots on the land: one down in the woods and another closer to the house.

I need a roof. Truss me.

We thought the boys would enjoy watching the crane handing the trusses to the men. Turned out, it was more fun for Ryan and I. The boys played in the sand.

Our windows are having a crisis. Seems they can't find our order and 3 others. They were flying down to the factory to see what's up. Nice.
